This styled shoot was created to celebrate the venue’s timeless beauty, with a Regal Renaissance theme inspired by classic details and historic romance.

Huntsham Court is one of Devon’s most breathtaking wedding venues — a grand, romantic setting filled with history, character and unforgettable architectural details. I’m so excited to now be listed as a recommended supplier, and I couldn’t think of a better time to share this beautiful styled shoot I photographed at the venue. Inspired by timeless design and Queen Elizabeth I’s iconic style, this editorial shoot blended regal elegance with modern bridal fashion, creating a look that feels both historic and effortlessly contemporary.

For this styled shoot, we wanted to create something that celebrated objects and design elements that have truly stood the test of time. ‘Regal Renaissance’ reimagines historical inspiration with a modern approach, taking subtle influence from Queen Elizabeth I — not in an overly styled way, but through refined details, classic textures and a sense of understated grandeur. Huntsham Court provided the perfect Tudor Gothic backdrop for this vision, bringing depth, character and a sense of occasion to every frame.

The long reception table was styled with an abundance of vintage brass candlesticks, each one adding a soft, golden glow that instantly transformed the room into something magical. As the light flickers across crisp linen, classic tableware and glassware, the whole space feels intimate, timeless and effortlessly luxurious — the kind of atmosphere you can’t recreate anywhere else. It’s the perfect setting for a dinner that feels warm, romantic and completely unforgettable.

The gardens at Huntsham Court are just as breathtaking as the interiors. Stepping outside feels like entering a completely different world — sweeping lawns, sculpted hedging and those iconic stone features that frame the views so beautifully. It’s the kind of setting that instantly slows everything down, giving couples the perfect space to breathe, wander, and soak up every moment of their day. The jewellery was the perfect finishing touch for this shoot, adding a timeless sense of elegance while still feeling completely unique. Classic pearls were paired with a smokey citrine gemstone, handmade and set in silver for an antiqued, authentic look. The soft warmth of the citrine complemented the natural tones of the florals beautifully, while the pearls brought a refined, regal feel that tied in perfectly with the Elizabethan-inspired styling.
